To get married on Bonaire is still easy, but you need to know your way around. We can help you with that, so you can enjoy your wedding and a fabulous vacation!
Flamingo Wedding & Spa Services Bonaire takes care of everything needed to celebrate the most fantastic day of your life on the idyllic island of Bonaire. Whether it's a huge ceremony with all friends and family, or "just" a private ceremony on the beach, we can arrange it! Anywhere, anyhow on Bonaire, we will take care of all the hassles of organization and preparations so you don't have to add frustration and stress to the most beautiful day of your life. When you are far from home, we are here to help with everything! With six years representative experience on Bonaire, we work with brides and grooms from all over the world. Do be aware that the official paperwork does generally take one to two days to process, so usually the earliest you can get married is the third day after your arrival on the island.

Although our expertise lies in creating unique, fully-customized weddings, we also offer a flexible, upgradable package service for those who prefer this approach.  Accommodations for wedding parties in either bed & breakfasts, hotels, lodges, villas, or private homes- Flowers for your big day, including bridal bouquets made of either silk or fresh flowers
- Rentals of chairs, linens, dinnerware, tents, wedding dresses, and other wedding day needs

- Underwater ceremonies (only for certified divers)
- Advice about local etiquette and customs for your wedding, we offer proper wedding planning, as well as necessary legal services to help prepare for your wedding and process the proper documentation for a marriage here on Bonaire
- Photography/photo albums, DVD slide shows, done by the best of our local photographers
- Music and entertainment, music for your ceremony or reception, local DJs, bands, and even dance lessons
- Catering for your reception, including finding the perfect location
- Wedding venue--let us help you choose where to hold your wedding, reception, or other events

How to Start?
The most important thing to do now is begin to prepare your documents pursuant to the legal requirements as noted below. Please send Flamingo Wedding & Spa Services the following documents to begin the process of your marriage on Bonaire:
• Date of arrival on Bonaire
• Intended length of stay on Bonaire
• A scanned copy of your passport (both bride and groom)
• Payment for the Wedding Package selected (additional services will be
billed later)
Then, both bride and groom must provide the following documents one month prior to your arrival on Bonaire:
• Birth Certificate with raised seal (issued by the state or province
of your birth)
• NO INITIALS PERMITTED: FULL names of both mother and father must appear on the certificate, (i.e. Gwendolyn Mary Daniels)
• If adopted, proof of adoption is required
• If you have changed your name, proof of the name change is required
• Marriage Record Search (Declaration of Civil Status)
• Single, Divorced, or Widowed Status (this document certifies that a government search has revealed no previous marriage(s) (single status), no current marriage exists (divorced or widowed status); this document is issued by the offices of the State, or Province, where
you reside
• If you are divorced, the Divorce Decree must be included
• If you are widowed, the Widow Decree must be included
• APOSTILLE IS REQUIRED FOR CANADIANS AND AMERICANS (an Apostille document is a validation of a certificate and is ONLY issued by the office of Vital Statistics located within the Capital offices of your state or province. Counties, municipalities, or city
offices cannot issue an Apostille)
• The following documents must be accompanies by an Apostille:
--Birth Certificate
--Marriage Record (Civil Status)
--Divorce or Widow Decree
• All documents must be originals with official
government seal
• All documents must be issued no more than six months prior to our receiving them. (DO
NOT SEND the original birth certificate issued at birth!)
• Passports must be valid for at least six months
from departure date from Bonaire.
• Couple and witnesses must arrive at least three working days prior to the wedding date to complete registration at City Hall.
If you wish to provide your own witnesses, each witness must also provide:
• Scanned photocopy of a valid passport (original will be required upon arrival), e-mail scan is accepted, faxed copies are not accepted
• By law, two witnesses are required for a ceremony at City Hall; 6
witnesses for any other location
